Although Apple (NSDQ: AAPL)’s iPhone 2.0 firmware update generally killed wireless syncing with Linux, efforts have been made to resurrect the functionality. As expected hackers won, allowing all Linux fans around the world to comfortably sync their iPhones with PCs.

Before you hop over to get all the details, you should know that a jailbroken device is required and so is the OpenSSH app (available through Cydia). Once that’s on place, follow all the steps provided on the Ubuntu Forums community.

U svakom slučaju, biće to hrabar potez, da s60 stave u drugi plan, a maemo u prvi.
Ali to moraju da urade, jer će ih konkurencija pregaziti. S60 je dotakao svoj vrhunac u 5800 xm i N97, i kad je taj OS u pitanju, nema još puno prostora za poboljšanja. Nokia bi se vjerovatno i ranije odlučila na ovakav potez, ali su sačekali da vide kako će android proći na tržištu, pa tek onda da gurnu maemo u prvi plan, da bi konkurisali Apple-u i Google-u. U početku će većina ljudi kupovati n900 samo zbog imena Nokia, a kasnije će sve više ljudi kupovati ovaj, ili slične nokijine proizvode, kad vide prednosti novog OS-a.
